The Vanguard is a medium-class SUV. It can be called a long body version of Toyota RAV4, at 235 mm longer than RAV4 in body and 100mm longer in wheelbase.
It was developed focusing on the design, pleasure of driving, multi-functionality and multi-passenger use.
Toyota Vanguard’s engine can be chosen from 2 types: 2.4 litres in-line 4-cylinders engine (125 kW / 224 Nm) and 3.5 litres 6-cylinders(V6) engine.
The 4-cylinders engine model is equipped with continuously variable transmission Hyper (CVT-i) while the 6-cylinders engine model is equipped with 5-speed electronic control transmission Super (ECT).
All cars are adopted with the active torque control 4WD system, and steering-assisted vehicle stability control S-VSC is built in.
Hill start assist control & downhill assist control are integrated into all models as a standard equipment.
